MEANING OF YOGA

From the Sanskrit root “yuj” which means “union” or “bond”, Yoga is referred to those techniques aimed at rejoining the body, the mind and the individual soul (jiva) with the universal soul understood as pure awareness ( Brahman).
Through the practice of propedeutic postures for physical health in conjuntion with specific breathing techniques (pranayama) and meditation techniques (dhyana), Yoga contributes to the achievement of a psycho-physical balance and a state of peace and spiritual harmony.

Dharma Yoga Jyotir

This yoga style includes asanas, breathing techniques (pranayama) and meditation techniques (dhyana) that draw from the classical tradition of Sri Dharma Mittra merging with the more dynamic configurations of the contemporary yoga.
Plunging into a deep path of inner change, the practitioner is pervaded by a state of serenity and peace, from the very first sun salutations, accompanied by a general state of well-being. The heart is an active protagonist in both postural and subtler energetic manifestations intimately linked to the anahata chakra.

Dharma Jyotir & Pranayama/Meditation

The Dharma Yoga Jyotir style, described above, is enriched by the so called Psychic Development techniques according to the lineage of Sri Dharma Mittra.
Within this class, in addition to the asana program, specific visualization exercises, breathing and meditation techniques are contemplated, structured according to a protocol formulated by Dharmaji, with particular emphasis on the purification of the nadis (the energy channels).

Vinyasa Flow

The Vinyasa Flow developed as a typology of contemporary yoga and having its roots in Ashtanga Vinyasa, provides a variegated set of postures coordinated with breathing exercises which feed a fluid movement/dance, which can assume different configurations inspired by the creativity of the teacher.
It is a form of dynamic yoga that strengthens the presence (vi) in and within the change (nyasa); particularly suitable for increasing the resilience and the flexibility and for improving the psycho-physical balance of the practitioners.

After an initial session dedicated to the study of the sutra which represent the most ancient treaty about the human psychology, the participants will join a deep meditation session.

Mantra Masterclass

The mantra masterclass is structured as a combination of asanas according to a dynamic yoga style, specific breathing techniques (pranayama) and meditation techniques (dhyana) enhanced by the predominant role played by japa, i.e. the repetition of specific mantras, selected within a vaste range of sacred sources, to characterize the yogic humus of that particular event.
Japa can help the yogin to consolidate his devotional attitude (bhakti) as well as his constancy in practice (abhyasa). The symphonies co-created echoing in the participants souls, accompany each one in a timeless musical dimension.

Pranayama and Meditation

During this class the basic techniques are practiced such as diaphragmatic breathing, and the breathing with retention after inhalation / exhalation (anthara / bahia kumbaka) learning the art of lengthening the time intervals in which they take place. Other breathing exercises include the alternate nostrils (nadi sodhana), and other techniques such as kapalabhati and bhastrika.
The pranayama section is preparatory for immersing oneself in the meditative phase, learning to gradually disidentify from the psycho-physical apparatus, in order to access the higher dimensions of our divine consciousness.

Dialoghi con l'anima

The proposed session is part of an experiential mindful program dedicated to increase self-awareness through deep meditation created by Claudio Kailash Gallone.
Different meditation techniques will be experienced in order to learn the more suitable way to enhance the inner dialogue.
