Studio Jyotir was born with the aim of promoting the inner growth of individuals as well as their physical, mental and spiritual well-being through yoga, yoga therapy and psychological support where required, welcoming you in a space of light and harmony in the heart of Milan.
Studio Jyotir is a cultural center that aims to contribute to the diffusion of Indovedic philosophy and psychology through a fruitful and constructive dialogue with Western philosophy, psychology and psychoanalysis.
Inspiring reference masters are Marco Ferrini, Matsyavatara Das, founder of the Bhaktivedanta Study Center and Sri Dharma Mittra, founder of the Dharma Yoga Center in New York, to which Jyotir is affiliated as the first and only studio in Italy.
In contemporary society, yoga can be adopted as a methodology that combines the preparatory postures for physical health with breathing techniques (Pranayama) and meditation (Dhyana), contributing to a profound balance in the body-mind-spirit triad. The value of yogic psychology lies in its interconnection with Indian philosophy, according to which the study of the human being/microcosm is placed in a perspective compatible with the study of the universe/macrocosm.
The Bhagavad Gita reconfirms itself as the sovereign science of living that can be applied here and now to resolve the problems of individuals and the most complex ones of society, allowing the harmonization of the contingent needs of the earth with the indispensable demands of heaven, up to the experience of higher planes of reality and the realization of the divine, in a relationship of love between man and God, between the individual, the environment and all creatures.
Spiritual guide and founder of the Bhaktivedanta Study Center, Academy of Traditional Sciences of India, he is Adjunct Professor of the Dev Sanskriti University of Haridwar. In 2012 he was awarded the Honoris Causa title of PHD Doctor in Philosophy, in “recognition of his contribution to the dissemination of Vedic knowledge in the world for the improvement and well-being of humanity”. With his work as a committed and far-sighted bhakti yogi, he proposes in an updated key the spiritual thought of India in the dialogue between the East and the West, promoting an encounter between contemporaneity and tradition.
The universal principles of spiritual disciplines can promote intimate communion between the spirit of the seeker and God; this is the intimate meaning of Yoga.
